Northamptonshire Business Awards 2021 now open for entries

Northamptonshire Business Awards 2021

The prestigious Northamptonshire Business Awards 2021 has opened for entries today.

The County takes great pride in these awards which are organised by Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce. They are the only County awards to progress in normal times to the National British Chambers of Commerce Business Awards where we have been proud to see local businesses not only represent but be successful on the national stage’

The awards are NOW open for entry for ALL businesses in Northamptonshire - not just members of the Chamber - with entries closing Friday 6th August at 5pm.

This year is extra special with the launch of new categories such as our ‘Best New Business Award’ and the introduction of the ‘New Normal Business Award’ that successfully showcases how our local businesses have adapted to change during the past 12 months.

The Northamptonshire Business Awards recognises the continued contribution and importance our local charities contribute to our county. We are delighted to announce that we will have a live on the night vote where we select a Charity of the Year Award winner, chosen by the audience.

In total there are 11 fantastic awards up for grabs as we rebound back from the disappointment of cancelling the 2020 awards due to the world pandemic.

Northamptonshire Chamber Group Business Development & Membership Manager Sunny Singh said: “We are thrilled to have opened entries for the Northamptonshire Business Awards 2021.

“The feedback we had from everyone involved in previous years was incredible and as return to the new normal we are excited to celebrate with you our loyal and inspirational local business community.

“I’d like to thank everyone who is involved in the awards, especially all our sponsors, including Wilson Browne Solicitors who remain our headline sponsors since 2018.”

The award categories are High Growth Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Best New Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Young Business Person of the Year, Family Business of the Year, International Trade Business of the Year, Customer Commitment Award, Workplace Wellbeing Award and New Normal Business Award.

The categories are sponsored by University of Northampton, All Things Business, Square Media, ACS, UK Business Forums, Ellacotts, Learning & Skills Academy CIC, Business & IP Centre Northamptonshire (sponsoring the 'Best New Business of the Year') and HR Solutions.

Wayne Jenkins Business Development & Marketing Director of Wilson Brown Solicitors commented: Wilson Browne Solicitors are excited to once more be the headline sponsor for the Northamptonshire Business Awards 2021.

“In an era of virtual awards and a seemingly endless stream of postponements, we applaud the Chamber for its decision to hold these awards in person, in a face-to-face environment.

“Nothing beats the real thing – celebrating success with our peers and our colleagues means this is an event not to be missed. Equally, nothing beats the opportunity to network, to see old friends, celebrate and enjoy.

The Chamber has been there throughout to support its members and the wider business community with help and advice: for our part we are thrilled to show our support in the capacity of headline sponsor.

The last year or so has been a tough time for everyone and Northamptonshire’s businesses and entrepreneurs have shown their resilience and adaptability in an acutely challenging environment. These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise that, to celebrate success, and to pay tribute to the best in the county.”

The Northamptonshire Business Awards will culminate with an awards ceremony and dinner on 11 November 2021 at Park Inn, Northampton.
